Free food to families in need. Families must bring proof of income and proof of a LaRue County address. This ministry serves approximately 110 families each month. Generous donations from church members and the community help sustain this ministry as we purchase food from Feeding America and receive donations from local organizations and individuals. This ministry team also hosts a Food Pantry Fellowship Meal on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm. Free supper for food pantry participants and volunteers. “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Matthew 25:35

Mission Team

Contact: Randy Osburn
After joining a conference mission trip to help repair homes from hurricane damage, a new ministry was formed to complete mission service projects both near and far. No carpentry or building skills are required. There are jobs available for anyone who wants to help. See Randy Osburn for more information. “For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building. “According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 (ESV)

This ministry team shares God’s blessings by paying for use of washers and dryers at Hodgenville Coin Laundry. “People don’t light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine in front of people. Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:15-16

Do you have musical gifts? The music ministry of HUMC is always looking for musicians and vocalists to help lead worship, provide special music, and participate in holiday cantatas. Come join the fellowship and make a joyful noise! ”Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn- shout for joy before the LORD, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy.” Psalm 98:4-8
